WebMD defines light marijuana users as those who smoke between two to fifteen joints per week, moderate users as those who smoke between sixteen and seventy joints per week, and heavy users as those who smoke between seventy-one and three-hundred fifty joints per week.

There has to be a reasonable explanation for the "insane" definitions. Maybe we don't really know anything about marijuana addictions... Or maybe their imagination just got the best of them.

Um...

I don't actually know ANYONE who smokes that much pot.

Three hundred and fifty joints? That's FIFTY joints a day. Is that even physically possible? You would have to light the end of one joint with the butt of the other. What the hell. When would you sleep? Could you do anything but smoke weed? if you can't smoke in public, where the hell are you going to smoke your fifty joints a day?

Hilarious.

Not to mention that joint is a really variable term. Additionally, the vast majority of people I know who smoke pot don't smoke every week. Does that mean they're not marijuana users?

That's what I'm wondering.

I suppose at 1.99 joints a week, I'm still not technically a user. Good thing I give that last .01 joint to Audrey (poor thing, it's stunted her growth) or Mom and Dad might find out.

Do you think they could have pot smoking marathons for those people who wanted to try for the fifty joints a day? I don't know that I'd want to watch it on TV or anything though.

Why do you think they wouldn't just say "71 and above" for heavy users? Did they have people who tried to smoke more than 350 and just COULDN'T DO IT??

I'm amused. I'm taking this discussion to the masses.. I'll report back if anything interesting comes up.
