Glad Bill has a chance to be back on the water & earn his living. I can imagine that feels very good to him even though he was finally beginning to accept his station with Laura. If you've worked your whole life, it's incredibly difficult to just stop!

Tom's a sneaky bastard. Glad he got the bad news of Bill's smart move. Though I'm only certain about Zak voting for Laura. Lee still needs to get some brains...it's wishful thinking on my part that that will ever happen!

Was a little confused on the timeline in this chapter. Where was Ishay when Bill was in his office with Bridgette? I thought it mentioned in the section before that Ishay was hiding there to overhear Laura & Carolanne.

PS I did a little happy dance when I saw this update!

Love all of this, but particularly the payoff plotting among Wary, Guarded, and Intrigued. (So glad Analyst Ishay is back!) Too bad Bill had to bust in at the critical moment.

I will join the chorus requesting MOAR, the sooner the better. :)

For all my Laura love, some of her plotting cracks me up. I end up thinking, that's so not going to work...
