So, we get to find out if Laura's a cat person (doesn't seem like it). Saul's got it together (hope he's successful). And disgusting Carolanne has to resort to drugging her husband: Please don't have them frak in the next chapter! Even accidental frakking would crush my shipper soul.

Poor Laura hasn't had pets, so she's not really used to any pets. She's gotten used to Jake, but now a cat?

Ah, readers are quick to reassure themselves with this, but if it were Laura he was about to romance, something tells us that there would be no suggestion that he has no remaining bullets in the chamber. :D

One of the really fun things about writing this series to try and capture the culture and lives of another times, much like writing in canon. But that also includes the less pleasant mores of another time, such as women's less satisfying lives.

OMG, you brought in LANCE!!!!! AWESOME!!! And just like in canon he scared the life out of Laura, LOL! I love her surprised face when he jumped on her desk in that eppy and many fans decided right then and there that Laura wasn't a cat person :D Now I DEMAND a chance meeting between Jake and Lance - OMG that would be priceless! :D

That bitch Carolanne draws more and more hatred from me with each sentence...

I don't know if Laura's a cat person or not, but I would have jumped too if I thought all living things but a 40,000 humans were gone and suddenly there's a cat!
