I'm all packed up and ready to move to Berkeley. And not just in the sense that I have everything ready to go to Berkeley -- I've also been spending a fair amount of time packing up all my various earthly possessions. It's a new phase in life hey? It's too bad the old one had to end, but there's still good times to be had. You and me will be having occasional meet ups during holiday time etc. for years to come, where we will have lots of ridiculous, beer fuelled, emotionally comatose conversations, except for when one of us cries after his second divorce, and things get awkward for a bit, but the next day it's attributed to the booze and never spoken of again.

Hey, Dear, you don't know me, but I found your LJ via randomness. I saw that you made the migration to friends only, which I do every now and then, but felt compelled to say Hi since I am, all-in-all, not to far from Berk, in Santa Clara (well, a part of San Jose that everyone calls SC), and I'm from Concord, about 20 minutes from Berk. So? Big deal, right? Except my boyfriend is from Vancouver. He's on his way there for Christmas as I type. So I guess ties to where you're from and where you are?

Anyway, from the bits I've read of your now-outdated-public entries, you sound interesting, so you're friended. I hope this is okay! I like interesting people.
