long time

so, i haven't updated since february. sorry about that, but i just forgot to for a while and then after a long while, i refused to. but now that school is over and i have more free time, i figure what the hey. so, school is out and that is very good. i really had an easy semester. only twelve hours, of which two were kayaking. if anybody comes to ( Read more... )

Whoa, I didn't know you did kayaking. Did you paddle sprint kayaks (i.e. carbon fiber/fiberglass and very hard to balance) or the more recreational kind? "Dang expensive" sounds like sprint kayaks to me. If you think a K1 is bad at $1,000 - $2k for a really good one, then you should see the $10,000+ K4 the team has at Georgia Tech. It's awesome.
I hope to buy my own kayak by this fall. If you ever get one, let me know so we can go kayaking some time. It would be fun.

it was whitewater kayaking. they run about 1,000 for a new one, but i'm looking at buying used.

we had a guy in our class who weighed 285 pounds. i think you could manage... you would still float a little low in the water...
