I hate feminists. Well, maybe hate is too strong a word. I dislike what the institution has become. Perhaps I'm wrong in this, of that I'm not sure, but I do know how I feel at this moment. equal pay for equal work...

i don't know who you heard saying that woman was a hero, last i heard they were showing modeling photos of her to show how big a slut she was.

reproductive rights...

the real double standard is the obession in this country with repressing women sexually. parental consent required to get birth control? are you fucking kidding me? and don't think for a minute things aren't going to start going directly backward with these new court appointments.

sexual harrassment in the workplace...

i have to drive to louisville in an hour so i'm not going to get into this any further. but don't fool yourself into thinking there's a level playing field when there's not.

No, I never said the playing field was level. And not so much a hero I guess, but all I hear on the news is "Come on, where were those teachers when we were in school?" and "He's probably bragging to his friends about what happened." I just think that is kind of bullshit and if feminists are going to talk about what is wrong for women, they need to speak up on situations like this too. Pick and choose your battles, yes, but things like this go unnoticed all the time. That was the double standard I was referring to above.

the fact that our culture assumes that a boy will brag to his friends about something like this is part of the double standard of sexual repression i'm talking about, and i think that has farther-reaching implications than most people like to think about.
