So i managed to keep my cold the whole time i was in the states. It seems to have settled comfortably (for it) in my ears now. Which makes teaching classrooms of 30+ munchkins insane, as i can't hear most of them properly. Japanese people like to speak quietly and mumble too, which makes understanding details a real chore right now

Congrats to your family on your brother's wedding. I may have missed an entry, but did you ever find the right gift for them?
Ann Arbor has a certain pull to it. I have never been able to live further than 30 minutes away. Of course, living in Japan does too. However, I realize that actual life in Japan is not as amazing as one imagines before actually doing so. I hope you find peace wherever you choose to stay.

Sorry about the second thoughts, hopefully you will make some new freinds. I mean, seriously, who doesn't need a little adania in one's life?
and at least you havn't done something stupid like spend 215k dollars of someone else's money.
