I went to go visit my cousin on Saturday. She has cervical or uteran cancer and they removed the tumor (maybe like a year and a half ago) and it came back. They removed her uterus and it came back. My grandmother died of ovarian cancer that has spread three years ago. From the last diagnosis to her death, it was a slow and painful 6 months even from the observations 3000 miles away. I remember it being so heartbreaking to see her (basically) whither away from the strong woman that I knew from my childhood. I'm glad you are with your cousin now though...I will always treasure the moments when I got to go home to see my grandmother. It's today that counts...having your family around is best for support.
