1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Arhena had no relationship with her mother, who ran out on her father shortly after Arhena was born and left for Dalaran. She was killed subsequently when Dalaran was destroyed. Arhena was raised by her father and has a largely tomboyish attitude, depending on certain conditions. Arhena was very close to her father and they had a very good relationship with each other.
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Arhena is very tall for a female sin'dorei, almost six feet. Another striking feature might be her curly red hair.
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
She has several nicks and scratches here and there, but no major scars that are worth telling about or have any grand story attached to them.
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Arhena has ... phases of vanity? A lot of the time she doesn't give much attention to her appearance, letting her hair grow out and tangle, wearing sleeveless shirts, tabards and patched pants. When she's feeling overtly feminine she can be very vain and has egotistical moments you'd expect would come out of a prima donna. She doesn't particularly find herself attractive, but she doesn't think she's bad looking.
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
Aah, it would be a two, I think. Arhena has always been attracted to women but had a romantic past that was made up exclusively of male partners until Soleina came around. I'm pretty sure if confronted about it, she'd say Soleina is the only woman she could ever see herself with.
6.) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
She doesn't remember things well, especially not from a long time ago. I think she feels a large amount of emotional contentment and joy when dwelling on the memory of her father as a whole. Those were good times.
7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Aah, a few months ago she would have very much like to erase a few people from her past. Right now she's a lot more stable than she's been in a long time and would say that she wouldn't have changed anything, as it's made her who she is.
8.) Day of Favorites! What’s your character’s favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?
Her favorite flavor of ice cream would probably be chocolate. Her favorite color is red. Her favorite song is the Three Blind Mice nursery rhyme. Her favorite flower is the common peacebloom.
9.) Who does your character trust?
She's a fairly trusting person by default. Not naive, exactly, but she tends to give people the benefit of the doubt, expects that they tell her the truth. She only completely trusts Bloodaxe.
10.) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
Aah, definitely becoming a death knight, the worst and most difficult decision she's ever, ever made. Going further back, completely starting a new life from scratch was a turning point. Most recently she's made a very positive turning point and is at a very stable point in her ... un-life.
11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?
I've never given it much thought. I suppose a dumb dog would work.
12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Arhena isn't at all technologically or magically savvy. The most she knows how to operate would be a mailbox, really. This isn't out of fear of mechanics or a dislike, she just hasn't ever taken the time or felt it necessary to learn about technology.
13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
She doesn't sleep that often, but I imagine she'd try to make herself as comfy as possible, meaning lots of pillows and fluffy blankets. She doesn't move at all when she sleeps (she doesn't breathe either, which I'm sure is unsettling when the two are combined), so the bed winds up relatively neat and not too messy when she eventually wakes up.
14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
She's a frost specialist, so the cold is welcoming and any oppressive heat has a very adverse effect on her. She is highly uncomfortable around large bonfires or ... lava.
15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Aah, as someone who doesn't really need to sleep, she is technically neither.
16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Not really. She considers a lot of the Zephyr Crew her "family" but only Bloodaxe comes very close to being considered a blood relative.
17.) What’s your character’s desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?
Arhena is a bit caught between the two. She enjoys having neat, clean workspaces, but tends to make a mess while she's working. Bit of a conflict.
18.) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favorite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
Arhena's been learning how to cook and has been doing pretty decently! Currently her favorite thing to make are different kinds of cookies. She seems to enjoy baking more than actual cooking. She can't really taste the food she eats, so she hands them out to other people to taste.
19.) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
She does enjoy flying, but she's grown exceedingly attached to her Adalae, her death charger. LAtely she's taken to trying to travel with the charger more often.
20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?
She's got a particularly strong fear of bats and is somewhat nervous around hawk/plain-striders of any kind.
21.) What would your character’s cutie mark be?
Uuugh, a cutie mark? I don't know. A hat? Sounds good.
22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
Arhena's got a particularly strong dislike of the idea of time-travel in general, but if she had no choice other than to choose where to go, she'd probably want to visit the first Well of Eternity, before the Sundering.
23.) Is your character superstitious?
Yes and no. She has a nervous respect for "karma", but doesn't believe in good or bad luck. She's more of the idea that you make your own luck through skill.
24.) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Ahah, let me see. Definitely someone that can take control of things. Arhena tends to blunder when she's expected to lead. Mentally strong and level-headed, someone who could both put up with her strange flights of fancy and keep her from getting too crazy. She doesn't tend to fall for people based on outer beauty, but is very attracted to healthy builds and ... tall-ness. And red-heads.
25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
Arhena has larger hands than average. She's taller and tall folks tend to have larger hands and feet. Her fingers are long, but not spindly. They are somewhat calloused and rough.
26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.
She can't taste much of anything now-a-days, but back in the day she did love to eat sugared apples. She enjoys wearing loose clothing (unless she gets on one of those feminine kicks) and sticks to large shirts and pants.
27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.
A recurring theme with Arhena seems to be, uh, waiting. Usually waiting on a romantic partner, for whatever reason. A fitting song would be The Man Who Can't Be Moved, by The Script.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fORAPkfVV_A28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Oh, drama. Everyone knows that. Drama and maybe comedy.
29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
Arhena does try to keep herself smelling nice. She bathes regularly and uses an apple and cinnamon wash she acquired from the salon at a likely over-inflated price.
30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
Hi Arhena,
We've been together for at least five years now, maybe longer! We've made a lot of mistakes, but I think you're getting better for the first time in a long time. Don't mess it up and I'll try not to mess it up either. You're really fun to play, both when you're happy and sad and I'm glad you're around still. And sometimes you're a pain and I wish I could figure out exactly how you work, but for an extension of my imagination, you're pretty mysterious to me. Keep your chin up, you're on a good road right now.
Sincerely,
Me
