A friend of ours is coming to visit tonight and he is allergic to tomatoes.  I can only think of one recipe that doesn't use tomatoes -- I call it "Steamed Broccoli."  It occurred to me today that even steamed broccoli would be better if we had some really fresh tomatoes to seed and toss in, maybe with a balsamic glaze...

Gruyère, Arugula, and Prosciutto-Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Caramelized Shallot Sauce. While it does call for a small amount of tomato paste, it's still good without it.

OMG that sounds good! Remind me to send you my pecan-stuffed chicken breast recipe sometime.

I dry-rubbed a pork butt with a top-secret blend of herbs and spices in a creole-sorta direction and stuck it in a 250 degree oven this morning. (it's top secret 'cuz I neither pay attention nor measure) I made cole slaw with whole-grain mustard vinaigrette to go with it. Pig should be done in another 45 minutes or so.

Leigh will probably post pix here: http://picturesofdinner.blogspot.com/ -- but they aren't there yet.

I tried that chicken recipe using smoked Gruyère. The timing is kind of weird as the sauce takes quite a bit longer to finish than the chicken does, but all I can say is holy yum!

I hope last night's dinner was as flavorful as it sounds! Is it bad that I now want some for breakfast?

Wow. I think I'd kill myself.
Curry of some kind? There are several that don't require tomato.

I can't imagine a life without tomato being one worth living.
