Bands get paid in drugs, sex then eventually money when they age a bit and retire. Consequently it's vital as the promoter to make sure that there's a steady supply of young attractive girls available to service the band at no cost to the promoter. However, said girls are unlikely to pay £300/ticket to get in, and if the band has a cup of tea and a quiet chat after the gig they might start spending some of their now shag free time wondering where all the money goes.
