I still have no memory of either of them, but this latest...
I can keep turning it over in my head, and it still doesn't make sense.
This woman, Anne-Sophie...she played the piano quite beautifully...she was missing and I traveled to France in order to track her down? But to put so much effort into such a thing, with no percievable benefit...
Why remember something so insignificant when there's so much more that's still missing! I don't even know the context surrounding that woman, or why she would need to be tracked down, or why I would want to.
There is the possibility that Haruhi raised, that both of our families are very wealthy. In that case, if our families were business allies of some sort, then it would perhaps be understandable to need to be close to him for the purposes of appearances. But if his family were that powerful, then I wouldn't see why I myself would be the one to track her down-- surely an information network would have been at both of our disposals.
Besides, to his mother-- I referred to him as my friend. And I remember that when I said it I did, in fact, mean what I said.
But that I would really consider him such is ridiculous when I see no reason... Haruhi wasn't wrong about him, I suppose, but I didn't think I was the kind of person who cared particularly whether someone was 'good' or not, and whether or not he's well meaning, he's still completely trying...
Damn! I'm still missing too many pieces of this puzzle. For now, I keep this to myself. Even if...he quite likely doesn't even know about her missing or being ill, so there doesn't seem to be any reason why he would need to hear this. Besides, I don't owe him anything. I've now helped him with Haruhi more than I needed to at all and I agreed to the ridiculous host idea, so if we ever weren't even, then we certainly are now.
What the hell am I even thinking, focusing on this when there must be pursuits that are more worthwhile?

On further consideration, I really wouldn't worry about Lelouch. Boating on the lake at night is a rather contrived date idea, so I doubt their date will be very successful. Though I suppose he does have the sense to take her to a nice restaurant.
At any rate, things should be back to normal soon enough, so I really wouldn't advise you to follow them or anything like that. Besides, I'm sure Laharl the boathouse manager at the boathouse charges high rates.
