If you're friends with me and/or my brother Andrew on fb, you probably know that there was an "incident" yesterday where an old church acquaintance of ours called him a "faggot." I agree that those who are unconditionally loving like our parents are typically the exception. Though I have to admit, the older I get, the more I see stereotypical judgmental behavior in my parents. I mean, they love everyone - but they can be just as judgmental as the rest of 'em!

That's about where I am. I mean, the way I feel now, there is NO POINT in outright telling my parents I'm agnostic. It would just crush them. It wouldn't change their minds or mine -- it would just lead to hurt feelings. And I have no reason to do that.
