I'll start with the good. My last final exam is tomorrow morning, after which I can sell all my shitty ass books back and hit the road for jersey. Florida is exactly one week from today. Ireland is January 2nd. And i'll be doing my internship at Early Language Intervention Ireland (ELI-Ireland, www.eli-ireland.com), working with preschool aged ( Read more... )

amen sista.

it's not like i am against alcohol in general, because i'll drink, but i hate how for so many people our age, alcohol is like a requirement for fun. and then when i don't want to be a part of it, or surrounded by a bunch of drunk idiots, i get labeled as antisocial or boring, or not "taking advantage of being young" (even better when you get labeled that by someone who you thought was your best friend, haha.) uhh sorry that i have enough confidence to know that i'm awesome enough sober. end of story.

oh and what's even better is the people who used to be openly anti-alcohol, are now drunks. why can't people just be their own person and not have to do things just because their "friends" do?

You are right on with the alcohol thing...I've decided to give it up myself, I don't like the person I become when I drink, and I have plenty of fun without it. It really does make me sad when people who used to not drink and whatnot start doing it, and all it does it make them do things they're not proud of and pushes other people away.

Yup I completely agree. People need to realize that if they can't be fun, awesome people when they're sober, they need to work on changing themselves, NOT reaching for a bottle of alcohol.
