...I'd been thinking a lot about the night before I ended up here.

What exactly happened that night?

I'd gone to the opera with a guy who'd been pestering me for a date. There was no real reason for going there... the ad just caught my eye. The performance started and, when the lead actress began singing, one of the actors burst into flame. One by one others started to catch fire, if not on their own, then from contact with someone else.

Then she, Melissa, stared at me, like she was staring into me. I went up to the stage to try and stop her, but she fired some strange energy at me. I was hit but... my body recovered on it's own... instantly. Like I'd never been hit. She told me I was 'awakening' and the 'more I used that power, the more I'd be like her.'
I'm... starting to think I may be but... It was like she lost her mind when it happened.
