But I really have nothing to say these days.
Teaching leaves me tired and wanting to zone out at the end of the day. I have no energy to blog! Especially teaching kindergartners - I'm with four different groups of kindergarten kids for 3 hours a day, and while I love me some adorable Korean kindergarten kids to death, they're exhausting.

Hey, can you find out how they celebrate Hangul day, 10/9. That's Greta's birthday. My father in law finally decided to let us know it was an important day. Good job, FIL, way to keep us informed.

My in-laws fry everything in the world in oil, but then judge us when we have something fried in a restaurant. I'm always thinking "remember how we just had fried ham at your house? Why are you judging me for eating this fried japanese thing right now?" Etc. Not many sweet potatoes, but they've lived in the states 40 years so they could be behind the times. Have you had the breakfast sausages that look like hot dogs?

The (northern, at least) Chinese love sweet potato, too. I remember there was a street vendor who went around near the hotel I stayed at with an oil drum or something made into a basic stove and sold roasted sweet potatoes by weight. My friends (I'm not much for sweet potatoes) said they were a great cheap lunch on cold winter days.

If you do go to China and want some thoughts on sights to see, I'd be happy to help.
