Hello everyone! I'm a 27 year old female living in the middle of Illinois.
What kinds of things do I write about?
*My husband. We've been married for four years. We were high school sweethearts, so we've actually been together for 10 years.
*My dogs. I currently have two. A 12 year old mutt and a 6 year old German Shepherd.
*My house. We've lived here for 3 years and every year we do a new remodeling project. We're learn-on-the-job do-it-yourselfers.
*Shopping. I admit that I'm rather materialistic. I love clothes and shoes and I always like to hear what other people think about the outfits I choose.
*Day-to-day life. Cooking, clutter, hanging out with friends. You know, typical stuff.
*My job. I work as the records manager at a county courthouse. Let me tell you, working at a courthouse exposes you to all sorts of aspects of life.
*I also have a health filter where I write about going to the gym and my struggle to build muscle, stay in shape, and become a distance runner. I'm currently on a 100 workouts in a year countdown and I'm up to running just over 2 miles.
What am I looking for in friends?
*People who update on a regular basis. If you only update once a month I'm not really interested. I don't want to see a post from you on my list and have to rack my brain to remember who you are and what you've been up to.
*People who write about their daily lives. I'm not interested in journals that consist solely of political rants, links to funny YouTube videos, or nothing of substance. I'm on LJ to share my life with other people and I want to friend people who want to share their lives with me.
*People who have a range of moods. If you're depressed all the time? I'm not interested. Again, I share my ups and downs with you. I want you to share them back.
*People who don't only post about their kids. I don't have kids and I don't want kids, but that doesn't mean I won't like you if you have kids. I just want you to have some life and identity outside of your offspring. Also, you must respect my decision to not have children.
