Okay, I know that pretty much no one reads this, but if you ARE still reading this journal, I am truly sorry for the intense boredom I am about to provide you.
This is a face wash transition blog.
I am so sorry.
I am trying out a new face wash to help combat my seasonal breakouts. It's LUSH Dark Angels, which has a bunch of charcoal in it. Charcoal is supposed to be an excellent absorber of oils. My face has been getting oilier lately, too, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
My usual face care routine goes like this:
AM: St. Ives acne fighting scrub, Clinique toner 2, Clean and Clear oil free moisturizer
PM: Clinique face soap, Clinique toner 2, Clean and Clear oil free moisturizer, some kind of spot treatment (neosporin, Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10, etc)
Face mask (usually from LUSH) every other evening.
So I am changing my AM routine to: LUSH Dark Angels and just the moisturizer, because I have a theory that my face is over compensating for the excess oils removed by the toner.
PM is basically the same.
DAY ONE:
Found a bunch of charcoal in my nose. This is an unexpected development.
Developed 2-3 new pimples. Face still kind of oily, but maybe a little less so than normal.
DAY TWO:
Found charcoal in my ears. OK, this stuff gets everywhere.
2:30-The work day is nearly over, and my face only feels oily in the places where I'm wearing makeup. The rest of my face feels moisturized, but not excessively greasy.
