Oh, I'M philosophical? Re-read your entry, Machiavelli... And you are too dark... Some people do live out their potential, and we're not here just to "be disected". Your life is whatever you make of it. It's that pure, that simple. You're right, a lot of people (esp. our age) are focused on the stupidest little things. And then there's me... thinking I'll grow up to be the President of the United States, or a leader in foreign affairs. Which perspective's better? I'd say it's best to go big... but then again, I'm the eternal optimist.

no, i have hopes and dreams and ambitions too, but sometimes its better not to get your hopes up, and feel like this all of the time because then you never end up sad from something little, like not fulfilling your dreams. most of the people in guilderland, well they might think they're getting out of here when they're older, but most of them won't even be close, but you and me? we're going places...
