It's not your fault that the industry causes confusion between flat beans and snap/string beans... "French Cut Green Beans" are snap beans. So are "Cut Green Beans" (with no further modifier) and "Whole Green Beans". "Italian Cut Green Beans" are flat beans, which cook differently. For my own tastes I'd add the beans later, the same time as the tortellini, but I have a rep for cooking both snap and flat beans as little as possible. (And I find overcooked flat beans slimy, so I will always err on the side of undercooking them.) YMMV.
All that aside, the recipe sounds like it came out yummy. :-9
Yeah, I know these are flat beans but I thought for clarity I'd put what is on the package. And as for cooking time, you know what you like so putting it in with the tortellini is fine. I don't mind if they are overcooked a bit.
