"Troy will find me."

Trying to get back into the habit of posting these episode reactions semi-regularly. Note also I do not mind talking to myself if I must. (And I must. XD)

Hawaii Five-0, 3x17: Pa'ani

Generally: I know very close to ZERO about football, so a lot of that stuff kind of fell on deaf ears over here. But the delicious, delicious banter of course did not go unnoticed. ;) I also loved Max showing up to the game in ironic attire. (I love Max, period.) I ALSO LOVE THAT CHIN TOOK DUKE! Idk you guys, I just think it's so sweet whenever the team interacts with Duke. And I thought the whole "what the hell is this?" scene with Catherine in a Dallas Cowboys jersey was perfection. LOL I ACTUALLY ENJOY HER VERY MUCH, SO SUE ME, FANDOM! That entire exchange was priceless.

Case: I see you Pat Monahan, being all evil and murderous. Also, HOLY ESCALATOR TAKEDOWN, BATMAN. (Steve McGarrett, I am shaking my head at your reckless ways.) I don't remember much else. XD Oh, except, "working with you is harrowing enough, I don't need you hunting me for sport." / "You're right, that wouldn't be much of a challenge." lmao, Steve can be such a douchebag.

Danny being a fanboy was hilarious, and the .gif below is one of the many many reasons I love him so.

^And that was hands down my favorite scene (because it was SO FUCKING CUTE) and I'm not even gonna touch Steve's comment about how fast Danny's mouth moves...

Anyway, Danny missing the game to take Steve to the hospital: ♥

New Girl, 2x17: Parking Spot

This is without a doubt my Fandom of the Moment, and it is SO DEAD ON LIVEJOURNAL OMG. Yet I know so many people who watch it! So I feel compelled to point out the following comms, which are somewhat, if you squint, kinda possibly active sometimes but not nearly as much as they could be: the_new_girl_tv, newgirl_icons, ontd_newgirl; and if you're into Nick/Jess, groovykindolove.

OKAY. This episode! Firstly, nice parallel to the o.g. tooth-brushing scene! Not only was it ~symbolic~ or what-have-you, and hilarious, but I love how Nick goes from "sorry I touched your hand right there, it was accidental" to "and then we can have sex!" in the span of ten seconds. LMAO.

Goodbye, towel rack. I was in stitches throughout the entire parking spot fiasco. Like, days later I'll remember something from this episode and still be laughing about it. XD "Do I not, every day, have to deal with Outside Dave?" NICK'S, SCHMIDT'S AND JESS'S MAD DASH TO THEIR RESPECTIVE VEHICLES, LMFAO. "Move it, you wacky bitch!" I could sit here all night quoting various lines that had me nearly falling off the couch. But you either saw the episode and already know them, or I don't want to ruin the ~surprises. Let me just say: SCHMIDT MANIPULATING NICK EVILLY WAS PERFECT OMG LOL. "This city can't have another scandal!" I was dying by the weird-off. And Jess urging Schmidt to kill Nick gets me EVERY TIME. (Plot twist: I have rewatched this episode many, many times.)

So of course, my specialty being Watching Comedies Like Dramas, let's now move onto the fish-stick dropping of it all! Okay, I feel it is important at this point to ask: WHERE DID THE DOUCHEBAG JAR GO? Because Nick and Schmidt both need to pay up about the no-nail contract. I adored Jess's response though, with her yelling and laying down the law. You go, Jessica Day! Now, Schmidt definitely interrupted a Moment towards the end, but he did have interesting points about Jess feeling more entitled to Nick's loyalty now, and also about Nick being a buttwad if he didn't go after her. ;) I rewatched the pilot since seeing "Parking Spot," and it really works, people: it was Nick, he couldn't help himself. And Jess's "shut up, Nick" was totally the prelude to something more, and my shipper heart was very satisfied with this episode. Seems like we're slowly moving past complete denial, which is delightful at any rate. Yay! :D

Continuity-wise of course, I definitely appreciated Coach being a part of the contract, and Winston having no part of it. I also appreciated Nick being terrible at lying. XD ("Hardly anything." "I wouldn't exactly say 'fair and square'.")

In conclusion: can it be Tuesday again soon?

Community, 4x03: Conventions of Space and Time

Britta's sneak-out route was awesome. The very fact that Britta HAD a sneak-out plan was all kinds of amazing too.

It is my greatest fear re: this show that Abed and Troy will eventually drift apart. I could deal with Jeff/Annie not being endgame*, I can deal with Troy/Britta especially if they insist on being as precious as in this episode, BUT SHOW: YOU DO NOT BREAK UP TROY AND ABED! "That dude is trying to steal your boyfriend" made ME angry and sad at the same time. All the feels! *myemotions.gif* But then Abed wingered Toby, seeing the error of his social-circle-expanding ways, and resolved that in his greatest time of need, Troy would find him. My heart was appeased, because I knew indeed, Troy WOULD. And then he did. It is the greatest BFFship of all. ♥♥♥♥♥

Also of note: Pierce still ruins everything, but I love how Shirley stuck up for the qualities Abed and Troy love about their show, even though she may not get Inspector Space-Time herself. ♥

LOL ANNIE OMG. It was funny, and then kind of heartbreaking, although really funny. And then Jeff said if they were married, she wouldn't find him flirting at the bar, and THEN he bought her an appletini because she said please, and I squee'd into my fist because I still do ship the fuck out of them. :D I also just about died laughing at "bow before Thoraxis!" You guys, I think I really like New!Jeff. Who's that boooy. It's Jeff!

Last but not least: DYLAN AND KELLY OMFG ASDFGHJKL;!

*mostly because I have this AWESOME headcanon where Jeff becomes a divorce attorney after Greendale and years down the line, Annie calls him when her first marriage turns sour. You're welcome.
