jill, i was watching the smurfs last night (much to my fater's dismay) and found out that there is a young girl smurf named--get this--sassetta! she looks...not at all like you, but the name is very fitting. i'm glad that you like germany. it sucks about the trains. maybe you'll see beatle bob sitting in front of you, passed out, a bag of wine ruthlessley torn from the inside of a box cradled in his long arms, like some oversized booze canteene. maybe you'll put gum in his hair. maybe he'll try to pick your pocket. that's the glory of germany--you never know what's going to happen, and after lylee met st. louisians in ireland, it doesn't seem to far off the charts. remember to practice your english, too, so you don't forget how to communicate with us. you'll come back, we'll go to ted drewes, and you'll forget how to say "ice cream cone" and have to draw a picture of one on a small, 2-ply napkin. at any rate, i'm mailing you a letter soon. i love you
