Long forgotten emotions, lost in long forgotten memories, but I knew you'd recognize them. Time washes over us all, like a current running through a riverbed, wearing its marks into us each in individual ways. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. In the end, we decide.

They argued with insidious intent; He would show her fear in handfuls of dust, when her shadow stretched out behind her in the mornings. Even ahead of her in the evenings.
Sometimes they knew things; The workings of the world had been set before them and no secret was left unturned in their wake. They churned up the work of Gods and Goddesses so easily.
His chuckle spread ear to ear; She had long since learned of his madness. It was both a curse and a blessing.
She could connect nothing with nothing; He'd always spoke of riddles so well. In truth, he was just another riddle himself and she hadn't quite gotten the answer right.
