SO I just got off the phone with Katie.. and boy am I perterbed. She starts talking about how I better be going to her party this weekend, on Saturday. That is during Pride. Katie does tend to take the judgemental fire-and-brimstone approach. That and, her family? Scary! So I definitely would understand your choice.

..this isn't influenced by the fact that she hates me for no reason. I just think she's being unreasonable this time around. Wait? This time around..haha.

I'm a devout christian, and I also happen to be gay. You're right he is bashing your religion (ie. a human doctrine using G-d's word as a basis for hate). Religion and faith are two very different things. FAITH in G-d, serving HIM above any other, and living a life of love and sanctity, these are what we as Christians are called to do...not sit in a church, bashing what G-d has declared His, while living a life of sin Monday through Saturday and calling themselves holier than thou. I'm not saying this is what you are doing; far from it. What I am saying is Ademu is gay, as are many other christians worldwide. So either you can do the G-dly thing, open you're heart and mind to the fact that perhaps mistranslation and bigotry has existed for centuries and people have made a religion of them, or you can take the approach and disassociate yourself from him, seeing as how, according to you, he's going to hell. We could look at this biblically, historically, or within socio-political context; as I don't have time at the moment to go into ( ... )
