Ok, so an update. I wasn't sure if my Dad would read this before I moved, so I had to delete that last post that detailed the fight and stuff, in case he got in here through my computer (back when it lived in my room there), read it, and proceeded to rend my flesh because I've "picked up my sister's biases" or something

I agree with what you say about the big questions not actually mattering. It's living your life that matters. But it goes the other way too. If our existance turns out to be meaningless or entirely predetermined or some such thing, who cares who broke up with who or what your grades are? The key, I think, is to keep the two seperate. Deal with your everyday life like it matters, and give the bigger stuff honest consideration.

Also, in response to "what's before the beginning?" THe best answer I've heard (well, not really answer) is "what's north of the north pole?". Obviously, nothing. It can't be. The north pole defines northiness, in the same way the beginning of time defines time. Time is a relative measure after all. At least, as we understand it, according to one school of thought.

And about the family thing. I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't read the original post, so if you happen to feel like it, feel free to send it over.

That's all I think. Maybe I'll update my livejournal. That would be an unexpected change.
