"You know yourself already, you never needed to ask 62 questions to realize it."
What do you regret the most?
I dunno, people keep telling me I'm too young for regrets.
What is the most hurtful thing you’ve ever witnessed? Why did it affect you?
I see a lot of families yelling at each other at work. Not "sarah put down the candy bar you already have a lunchable and juicy juice" yelling but "you're a worthles piece of shit" yelling. It made me feel really bad, people have no values today
What would you like most to be acknowledged for in your life?
No matter how long its been since I've last seen you, it always feels like its been years. I'm genuinely happy to see you, give me a hug back dammit.
What is the first thought that usually crosses your mind the second you open your eyes in the morning?
Coffee
What is that thing about yourself you’re sick and tired of?
I can find a fault in everything. But I see it as a test for my ability to have compassion with others. What hurts is my inability to do the same for myself. But this is a year of transformation for me, I've decided, so out with the old and in with the new!
Who really depends on you? Why?
This is I do not know, I just try to spread happiness wherever I can and hope it helps make life slightly more bearable for others.
What was the main factor that played a role in your biggest mistake? What was the main factor that played a role in your biggest success?
I combined these questions because my answer is the same for both: I'm a risk taker and my life is a giant leap of faith. I think most of this is me being an air sign, but life is easier when you stop thinking you can conduct everything.
What childhood memory sizzles your heart?
Is sizzles a good word or bad word here? I just remember the days of playing kickball til the streetlights came on, going on adventures in the woods, hating Saturday mornings because the Busics always went to confession and I had no one to play with. All the games Peggy would make up for us to play, Serbian holidays at the Busics were the best. If you've never heard a Serbian acoustic band sing then you're genuinely missing out. I don't know any of the words but I can hum the songs by heart.
What was the most frustrating period in your creative life?
I remember when I was in art school my professor for Foundations of Drawing told me "No, you need to redo this. It looks too perfect, you don't make enough mistakes". That was when I knew there was nothing left for him to teach me and it was time to drop out of art school. Since then I've been walking around with a middle finger on my forehead doing my own thing with my own style. My sketchbook from Intro to Design was decorated with letter stickers that said "Anthony Fuck!ng Bentley, this is 'Art'". I do me, I do my own thing. The world can just get used to it.
Do you love yourself?
Abso-fucking-lutely
If you were your own coach, how would you guide yourself?
No one ever said you have to ask permission to be happy. Love yourself, love others, and fuck everyone else that has a sour face because of it. You know yourself already, you never needed to ask 62 questions to realize it. You create your own luck, fate will follow suit. Never use words like "destiny" to discredit what you've genuinely worked hard for, but keep arrogance away from the heart. And for christ's sake cut up your fucking credit cards, I'm tired of paying interest!!
