And many thanks to Andy, Helen, and Farshad for checking. Thanks to you guys, when I do go, they'll likely find my body before the dog has eaten the whole thing

First let me congratulate you from your return from the dark abyss. Your suprise post in my plea for naughty school girl witches has cheered me heartily.
As for the poolside debauchery...curses...foiled again. But you are always welcome down to Dallas where we will introduce you to the local scene of debauchery.
You're going to DragonCON? YAY! It wouldn't be the same without you.
You know, we can definitely bring you some joy and coincidently enough it also involves putting people on fingers. I mean, puppets, yeah..that's it...puppets. Heh heh...heehhhh... *taps fingers villianously*
I can't wait for D*CON. I'm in that pseudo-state between D*CON withdrawal and antici.....pation. *glee*
Surprisingly, it's entirely possible that we'll be in Dallas from time to time. Josh has a LOT of family out there. Whether or not we'll be there when it's not a busy time like X-mas or Thanksgiving, I'm not so sure of...
I was afraid part of the country had collapsed into a hole. I would say "Hey, that weekend trip you were talking about, Erin...?", except this weekend is the last weekend that I'll be free until mid-October and you're out of town.
I would say "Well, we'll see you at D*con!", inconveniently, however, we'll be returning from NV late Monday evening. However, I know we've offered our apartment to one other couple so far for use over D*con weekend (no room at the inn, apparently), and if you need a very inexpnsive place to stay (and promise not to wreck the place ;-) maybe we can take another in (we have, currently, 2 beds).
Damn. The Inn is full? Well, I AM glad to know that, so I can make other arrangements, but I don't think your apartment would work, though I appreciate the semi-offer. There are three of us, not the two, and trying to free-lance park or navigate Marta in costume are a little too much, I think. Appreciate the heads-up about room availability, though!
Np. I'd still check the hotel (but quick, if I were you) in case my information is wrong or there are cancellations. My offer would be more firm but for the fact that I have to insure compatibility. You certianly couldn't possibly disturb us! (And if you did manage to, from Atlanta, there would be bigger problems than just being disturbed. Like the giant crater it would create.)
It's just that if we're not there, somebody can use the place. If there really are no rooms left (and just not no rooms that they want), there are always the other hotels around the area, though, that would be more than happy to have you.

If all goes well, I'll be in the exact same place as last year at Dragon and this time I'm going down on Thursday.
Looking forward to see you gorgeous!
