haha i know, i tried to post my journal entry a half dozen times but lj was being fussy last night.
i'm going to south africa for a week and a half on tour with my orchestra here at lehigh. we're going to johannesburg and capetown and doing 7 or so performances while we are there, one of which is a fundraiser for a childs welfare agency.
i'm extremely excited but..jeeze..so much to do before then!
it's possible to do one 44 lb suitcase the entire trip, it just requires some sacrifices. I did 3 countries in 2.5 weeks with a small rolling back and small backpack, twice. If you need advice on what to bring/what not to bring just ask
haha i don't know..i usually take two suitcases when i travel home, both right around the 50 lb. mark (i have a lot of shit, haha). and thanks, i definitely might take you up on that offer.
oh, and a random question, do you have any european plugs/converts for 220v?
haha, I know how that is, I usually go over the 50 lb mark on both my suitcases everytime I go home
I have conversion plugs in Denver, but not here, and I'm not going home until after you leave. If you are staying in a hotel they generally have outlets that will fit american plugs and you can change the voltage, but I would buy one or two to be on the safe side
ITs going to be HOTT! Heres my guesstimation of what you will need. - Wear a really light coat for at night or just a sweater you want on the plane, wear your walking shoes -bring one towel (unless your at a hotel ditch the towel), - toiletries, - your dress up stuff - 3 pair a jean, - 6 light skirts - 2 pair short - 10 light shirts - bathing suit - 1 pair dress shoes, 1 pair flip flop - socks, - one pair pjs (shorts shirt) , - underwear all set! :D
dont stress, pack light. You always end up wearing the same stuff anyway. :) I cant wait to hang out either we are going to be so crazy! :D
haha, i had about 6 comments from you in my inbox today!! silly girl changing her comment :)
i'm gonna do my best to pack light but it's actually gonna be cool over there - 50 to 60 degrees average because it's the beginning of their winter. i'll let you know how it goes!
