Do me a favor and follow your own advice this time. It might just might help you out in some way. i know how hard it is to let go of things you love or the things that make you happy, but things always work out. And do me another favor. Don't say godd-bye to him or anyone else because saying godd bye means you'll never see them again. And tell those you love that you love them every chance you get, you never know when you're going to have to say good-bye for good.
