NJ Con is TOMORROW, people!! You don't know how excited I am. Well, actually, you probably do. I have my bag packed (of the books and pictures, anyway). I might load up an mp3 player with my Supernatural Playlist (I believe I posted the list somewhere around here, but there's a Word doc in the zip file naming the songs, artists, scenes, and episodes.)
Appearing tomorrow: Alona Tal (yay!!!), Matt Cohen (young John Winchester, from "The Song Remains the Same" and "In the Beginning") and Steve Carlson will be performing in concert, though I won't be attending that. I'm currently watching "The Real Ghostbusters" in honor of this weekend.

I may have mentioned once or twice that season 2 is my favorite, right? Then is it any wonder that most of my "favorite ____ scenes" are from that season? This one is, too.
SAM HAS TO SHOOT MADISON IN "HEART"
Forgetting the dual meaning of "Sam might go badside one day" (and ignoring what we know now), it's just a bittersweet scene where Sam opens himself up and lets himself feel for a girl again since Jessica. There had been Sarah in "Provenance," but it took how much talking into things just to get him to kiss her then? He's finally moved on now, and she's dangerous. Not all of her, and not all the time--but the only way to keep her from hurting others is for her to die. And it's just so sad, with the perfectly nice girl and all... well, here's the scene:
MADISON: [crying] So, I guess that's all there is to it, then.
SAM: Stop it. don't talk like that.
MADISON: Sam, I don't wanna hurt anyone else. I don't wanna hurt you. [She grabs the gun and brings it to him.]
SAM: Put that down.
MADISON: I can't do it myself. I need you to help me.
SAM: Madison, no.
MADISON: Sam--I'm a monster.
SAM: You don't have to be. We can find a way, all right? I can. I�m gonna save you.
MADISON: [crying harder] You tried. I know you tried. But this is all there is left. Help me, Sam. I want you to do it. I want it to be you.
SAM: I can't.
MADISON: I don't wanna die. I don't. But I can't live like this. This is the way you can save me. Please. I'm asking you to save me.
[SAM shakes his head. DEAN walks over to them and carefully takes the gun from MADISON. He follows SAM into another room, who is now crying openly.]
DEAN: Sam. I'm sorry.
SAM: No, you're right. She's right.
DEAN: Sammy, I got this one. I'll do it.
SAM: She asked me to.
DEAN: You don't have to.
SAM: Yes, I do. Please. [He holds his hand out for the gun, tears streaming down his face. DEAN hands it to him.] Just wait here.
Oh, Sammy! I was a Sam-girl for a long time (which I find terribly ironic, considering the reason I waited so long to watch the show was because I was the opposite of a Dean-girl when it came to JP's other show), and... I don't know. My heart just went out to him.
