You!

I need your cellphone number because goshdarnitall I will make it down South ;) before I graduate! Keep in mind, graduation's most likely 2011.

So. E-mail me it.

And no, you don't have a choice about it. >:P

I blame this entire comment on the fact I'm hyped up on NyQuil, Sudafed, and Tylenol.

Okay, I hadn't yet heard about the JKR rant. I need to go read it, but just from what I've read here and the points you've made...I'm...appalled, maybe? Shocked, at least. Especially at the notion that she'd title it "for girls only, probably". What the...?

Okay, I'll come back after I've read it all. If I'm not too pissed off to type by that point. But thanks for linking to it; I'd have missed it otherwise, I'm sure.

Also, I have to respond to your comment about Scorpios! I should have been clearer. And I will be. Sorry if I sounded like I was making a blanket statement - not so.

Hey there. Got here through ataniell's and just wanted to say I'm glad to see this post and I agree.
I'd also question why, if JKR finds look so unimportant, how come Hermione's supposedly stunningly pretty whereas Pansy's dog-ugly?
Not to mention, why was it so important for Ginny to become 'pretty' in order for Harry to notice her?

Here's the thing: If you're skinny, you really should not complain about your weight. Its like me being white, sometimes I get shit for it, and sometimes I feel like crap about myself because white people oppressed black people, but it doesn't mean I should complain about being white. I have it really, really easy.

It's pretty much a perfect analogy for your situation, only add "in elementary school" after the oppression clause.

also, haha, didn't want to spam your journal but I just had to point out, you completely imagined that hermione was described as fat when you first meet her, and you connected this with her being unpleasant. It is YOU for whom unplesantness means fatness.
