Hey amazing.. But I get lost in #5. I know how to desadurate and all but, I don't get to what i Lower it to. Can I have a better explination on that part please?
Wouldn't it be more effective if I didn't his 'post' before I was finished? Let's try again:
In PhotoShop 7 once you desaturate a layer (but before you do anything else) you can go to Edit > Fade and a box will pop up with a Opacity slider bar. Just slide the little arrow-y thing to the left to change the layer from plain black 'n' white to... um... less black 'n' white, 'causing a faded washed look, but with slight coloration peeking through. There's even a box where you can set the blend mode.
This works for anything you do. Sharpening, gradients, brushes, etc.
