(TM) 182. Awards and Honors

Jun 28, 2007 20:46

You've just won an award! What would it be and why?

Note from mun: Of course, the first thing that jumped to my mind upon seeing this prompt was the Tammy Award Bill won for Saddest Prompt. I was surprised and deeply honored by winning a writing award, especially given the high quality of the other responses nominated. I'd be remiss if I didn ( Read more... )

OOC: Oh. Lovely. Sharon would like to talk to him, but she's not sure if he would want to...

OOC: By all means, Sharon should comment if she wants to. ^_^ It just occurred to me that she *might* have some knowledge of the Valkyrie's mission from the Cylon POV. It's up to you to decide if she does or not, of course. ;)

Sir, I think you are completely deserving of this honor, no matter what. If you care to speak to me, though, I will...

No, sir. I demand that you speak to me. *little smile* Of course, if there are any questions you have for me regarding anything as a... "counselor" of sorts, I will be happy -- as always -- to answer them.

OOC: Cally, BTW, has really upset Sharon, and there's a locked post to Bill and a few others here: http://number-eight.livejournal.com/18105.html

OOC: Just so everyone knows, Cally mun totally approves. As for the other crazy bitch Cally, she's unaware, obviously.

And, btw, Sharon mun totally rocks, but I'm sure I didn't have to tell anyone that.

If I may be candid, Admiral, what is it we need to remember about the women? Be they mother, sister, friend, boss, wife, daughter, niece, any relationship under the stars you can think of?

The women are always right.

Have you ever thought about the length of time it takes pilots to get through the Colonial Academy? And it's a couple years of basic military 100s and 200s and even some 300s before they even get in the cockpit. Takes much longer than three years. You saw Boomer's service record before she ever set foot on Galactica.

I'm just saying, not even the Cylons could have planned and pulled off a genocide of that magnitude in only a couple of years.

The women are always right.

OOC: Just so everyone knows, paragraphs three and four of the above are supposed to be striked. I don't know why it didn't work, but I didn't realize it until just now. Even if the Chief had somehow heard about it (not completely out of the realm of possibility), he'd never speak of it openly with anyone.

My apologies.

I understand guilt, Admiral. But in this instance, maybe the people you have saved, and have fought for, will balance it in a small way?

You may not feel you deserve this medal, sir, but the crew feels you deserve a viperweight of them. Even if you would order them melted down to skin ships.

I meant what I said, Dad. We keep running into these situations where we're not allowed to make "fault" the same thing as "responsibility" anymore, don't we?

OOC: Excellent response, right there in Bill's head. Great.
