How many freaking ants can one laptop hold? I've been squishing them for nearly 45 minutes now, and more keep appearing. Why would ants decide to move into my laptop anyways? I guess it is running Windows ME, so I should have expected a lot of bugs.

ohman.

i've never heard of this evar!

they are probably feeding on *something* in there... hope they move out before they destroy the thing...

you could put the laptop in a freezer to get rid of them if it is really bad. make sure you bag it first to both contain the ants and to prevent moisture from getting into the puter.

I'm guessing it is food crumbs in the keyboard... the flow of them seems to have settle down some, so if I don't see any more today, I shall relax... otherwise, yes, the freezer sounds like a good idea...

The laptop has been in the bag since Friday morning... it is very amusing. I'm not really worried about... just bemused more than anything.

My best guess is that we had one of the cats puke on the staircase near where the laptop was sitting - when we got home Friday night, there was a big ant trail past the laptop to the stairs. Cleaned that up and didn't worry about it (this is the time of year when the cats puke and the ants find anything food-like). I'm guessing these ones just got lost in the process.
