What a depressing, mournful post. (Regardless of whether you intended it to be depressing and mournful, I think it was, and surely Gershwin did, too. I mean, of all the great composers, Gershwin is without a doubt the most depressing and mournful of them all, wouldn't you say? I shall now discuss this "depression and mournfulness" in greater detail:) Pah. Love songs are crappy. I'm convinced that that lethargian longing is really our desire for God/Heaven, cause t'aint nothin on Earth can satisfy it. (I know this because, naturally, I have experienced everything on Earth, paltry mortal.) Romance novels and TV shows and crappy love songs like this one...all feeble attempts to take the perfect love of God and force it into a sexual, idealized character.
In other news, I really like that when I look at your original post, your eyes are closed, but when I open it to make a comment, your eyes are open. In the photograph, that is. It's like you're blinking at me.

Perfect for school, home, or the office,

I do concede the point, though, that it is foolish to think that love can ultimately assuage loneliness.
Thanks for your candor, as always.
