Things I learned during my first year of college:

• It is not always necessary to do your homework
• However when it is necessary, doing it at 1a.m. the night before is a nice time to do so
• It is a good idea to actually read your Sociology books occasionally
• You don't always have to go to class, but you can bet the time you don't, something big will

Making friends with kids in your classes is not necessary, but is probably a good idea

Also, If you like someone, it is in your best interest to let that be known sometime before the last week of class is true in two cases for me and that just sucks.
