Oh god. I need to create some sort of online identity by the end of today that would justify my need for Virgin Festival photo passes. They passed me through to the second part of the screening process by using my photoblog, but now they want proof that I'm involved in the industry or that I work for someone who needs me there or that I need to ( Read more... )

Maybe you can find someone who has a webzine or publication that would list you as on? Do you have any friends who do something like that? There must be some sort of publication SOMEWHERE that would like pics/a report from Virgin at no cost to themselves....

Yeah, I've e-mailed a few zines already. If you know of any more who might be interested, let me know, yes? :D

Apparently this is just one of the hoops to jump through - they need to have the second application by August 1. Uhoh!

Are there any like local/community newspapers/magazine inserts/etc. that maybe don't have someone going (because they couldn't afford it) and would like to have a freelancer covering it?

That's the problem with living in suburbia - we have no alt-music scene. I'm looking for Toronto local stuff now, though. GOD this would be amazing if it worked. :P

Well, unfortunately, there hasn't been much hanging yet, but as it seems everybody's business starts clearing up this week, we're gonna be a'hangin'. I need to schedule a group chat and get some planning done with everyone.
