Can't you go, anyway, considering it's a weekend? Are you not going to be doing photography anymore?

I wish. :( Unfortunately, the festival, and this job I took is 800km north of Edmonton... So about 3800km away from Toronto. I can't fly there and back in time to be ready for school on Monday.

I am indeed going to be doing photography, but I have to do it in Alberta, not in Ontario, at least until June, when my contract is up. It was a tough choice, but it was either stay here and do unpaid gigs and not have a job, or go up north, get paid amazingly, so I have all summer next year that I can photograph the festivals and concerts with fewer money worries, and get a year of really valuable experience so that I can come back here, be employed, etc.

I'm working on a few photo passes in Edmonton and Calgary right now, though. :) Hopefully they pull through!

Yes defintely! I'm teaching 5th grade science! I saw your post on the teaching community yesterday I think, and I see you are going thru a lot with your kids. I feel your pain!!!
