Closing Down the Community

Hello members of adommy_contests! As the weeks have gone by, it seems that interest in this community has dropped. The same three or four people always enter the contest. We are not getting any new members. No one seems interested enough to vote in the polls

so sad. i am sorry. i love this place and all it stands for. is there any other way? like advertising or something?

We've tried that. We post the new challenges and the voting in two other communities, plus pimping it on our own journals. Nothing has seemed to bring in any new members.

We have talked about waiting until the fall when Adam's new album is out and seeing if there is renewed interest in the community then. We'll have to wait and see.

ok. my idol comm is kinda dying too. i think idol communities come and go online. bringing it back with a new album might work. is tommy staying with the band though?

This is really sad. :((( Don't know what to say. I noticed a similar thing for my last Tommy icon post, only 4 people commented on it.

Thanks! It means a lot to hear from the loyal members and know that they will miss adommy_contests. We are hoping to start it up again in the fall when Adam is promoting his new album and there is renewed interest in all things Adommy. :)

this is a shame, because I really enjoyed this contest.

There is a community called icontestnews that pimps icon contest communities, have you thought about maybe submitting the community to a pimping community. I hate to see the community just close up.
