Name: Sohma Ayame
House: Slytherin!
Year: 7th year, and Head Boy if no one has a problem?
Talent: Divinations and Charms. Also is incredibly fond of hypnosis charms. Unlike most Slytherin, he couldn't give the first damn about dark magics, DADA, curses, counter curses or whatnot.
Wand: Willow, 10 inches, flexible, core of a Naga whisker.
Other: The Sohma's are a Pureblood feel my pedigree old, OLD family. Almost every one of the main line become wizards and witches and they seem to actually do incredibly well. They claim that their line is blessed by the spirits themselves, and it lends to their natural magical aptitude.
Of course, the truth of this matter is a very tightly kept. The Sohma line have been cursed for generations... no, not a pox upon your family, no at the end of time a mighty dragon shall eat you all, FEAR THE DAY, no, not even "may you live in interesting times" they have the much more small scale and embarrassing curse that they turn into an animal when hugged by the opposite gender.
You can see how this is a big of a red faced moment in the wizarding world, particularly by the fact for all their natural talent, none of them have figured out how to get rid of it. And some of them even enjoy it.
They ARE inhabited by an animal spirit, which they theorize to merely be the closest animal spirit to them sometime in the natal process.
We don't ask about Hiro, okay?
On the other hand, it is true, each of them DO have absurd magical capacities, usually befitting the animal they share space with.
Ayame is a seventh year, specializing heavily in Divinations and charms, particularly in hypnosis, and unusual mental charms. This has nothing to do with why he's Head Boy. Really. Despite all the rumors. REALLY.
He's a fairly good wizard, talented, intelligent, charismatic, well liked by the girls and ... some of the boys. He's also quite aware of this and happily narcissistic and self centered about the whole deal, and can be completely dismissive to a matter when it holds no immediate bearing over himself. (HI HIGH SCHOOL AYAME)
This means that in general, a lot of mischief, oh... might be overlooked if not quieted down if it is in front of Ayame. He IS known on occasion to go to bat for students, though it's hard to tell if it's a whim when it happens, or he looks for something particular.
Naturally, his best friends are Shigure, another Slytherin who's well known for being Ayame's partner in crime. And Hatori, who oddly enough, seems to be the only person Ayame listens to unfailingly and without question.
As for his curse, Ayame's a snake. Also a parseltongue because of it.
