Sky-High Time Tunnels
Okay… I know I love time travel. So much so that in my Bunnies Truck Stop there is a bunny named Nick that works with time travel and alternative universes. He is a little flaky. Who knew. But he gives me a lot of plot. So in honor of him I am giving you another plot. Yeah I know… but I can.
Sky-High plot: sometime Heroes come along with a power that seems completely useless but turn out to be the ones that save the day. What if there was a super that had the ability to see time tunnels and use them to go back and instigate things in the time line but not alter it. I live by the code of you can’t change the future but when you go into the past you are simply helping it happen… like in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. What would happen if you knew when you were going to die because you saw it and that your death saved the heroes of the future who would eventually save the world more times over and if you didn’t go back in time there would be no one to protect the world. One of those if you don’t die you’ll die.
Possible scene:
Sonic Boom looked at the car that was still settling over a few feet away. It was the car that was still hanging above them or at least it looked like the car that was still up there. He lofted an eyebrow at her.
“Okay.” He said cautiously.
“Write something on a piece of paper and give it to me.” She said.
“What?” He was very confused.
“Give me a piece of paper with something written on it and I will take it somewhere in the past to prove what I can do.” She stated again.
Sonic Boom gave a wired face then sighed. “Fine.” He took his clipboard and wrote something on folded it up and handed it to her.
“Thank you.” She said and stepped into nothing. She just vanished as she stepped away. Then she appeared from around one of the support pillions. “Okay…” She stepped back under the car. “Now drop the car.”
Sonic Boom looked confused at her opened his mouth then shook his head. “Okay.” He pulled the lever and the car dropped into nowhere. It had started to fall but then was gone. Disappeared in to nowhere. He looked confused at her.
“Go check the car over there. The note will be in the front seat.”
The whole class watched as he went to the driver side window and pulled out a folded piece of paper. Opening it up he saw the note he had written. “You could have just placed that in there now.”
She pulled out a pink slip of paper. “Well you know when you caught me placing it in there earlier and put me in detention. I only got out three minuets ago. I just got back here in time to watch myself leave.”
Sonic went to her and snatched the detention slip out of her hand to find his hand writing and the release time written by the principle on top.
“That was why I looked so very confused when you said you were watching me. I had not done what you had given me detention for yet.” She smiled at him and leaned in to say softly. “Don’t think about it too hard it will give you a migraine.”
Just then two fireballs slammed into the wall and she sighed. “Oh damn. I am going to get into a fight. Just what I need on my first day.”
