This was wonderful - I enjoy when you write about being adopted because it gives me a peek into that mindset. I think it's something that's hard for people to really appreciate, and you make it easy to understand. Good work this week :)

I like the tree imagery a great deal. I often longed to be a tree, in a way. I guess because they feel rooted, like they know where they are to be.

I like how you pointed out how growing up gives us perspective. People often act like they want to be younger. I wouldn't trade the perspective age has given me for anything.
