Having both is unusual so you may need to check. I am in the UK but I would present the one that matches my current legal id an state correctly that no changes have been made to that.
But law here may be different so ymmv

I used my amended birth cert and wrote on the forms that I had other names. Technically the one you use with ID is what you go by. I changed my name in 2010 in NJ, I had a copy of my OBC but it wasn't legal it was just a copy. Hope that helps some, the laws vary by state.
