CHARACTER
Name: Tavros Nitram
Age: 6 sweeps (13 years old)
Canon: Homestuck
Canon Point: after getting killed by Vriska
History:
http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Tavros_Nitram Personality: He can get enthusiastic over the things he likes. Yes, he'll forget that those things might not be considered cool by the people around him and he'll get embarrassed when that gets pointed out. But that won't stop him from loving whatever he likes.
Tavros is that kind of person that is always thinking about everyone else. Whether it's a downfall or not, he cares about how they view him or how he makes them feel. He puts up with things that make him uncomfortable or unhappy, not wanting to seem fussy or demanding. He tends to cushion what he says, especially if he's disagreeing, so no one's feelings get hurt. Hence his tendency to falter and stammer.
Unfortunately, he is far more likely to take a stand for anyone he cares about then he would for himself. And more likely get defensive for them, than himself. (as shown when Vriska bashed Jade.) Make fun of him all you want, but when its a friend? He'll do his best to make you take it back.
However.
If there was a word to describe Tavros, it would have to be 'resilient'. Here is a boy who gets paralyzed from the waist down, loses those legs, and then could barely handle a new pair of robotic-legs. Putting aside how some of his peers belittled him in what he likes/does, he still has time to be one of the kindest and more optimistic characters of the bunch.
Despite his self-doubt, he shares the Taurus (his zodiac he represents) trait in which he is persistent and just keeps getting back up/adjusting, after getting hit by what's thrown at him, until he can't anymore.
Tavros is perfectly capable of making jabs in friendly verbal combats. (and enjoys slam poetry as shown by his conversations with Gamzee and his failed attempts to troll Dave.) If the verbal battle starts to get serious, he might start stepping back, a little, but still stand ground if he isn't out of confidence just yet.
He does his best to dish back what gets thrown at him; Even if it's a hit or miss, a lot of times.
It may take a while and a lot of pushing his buttons, but Tavros is capable of eventually standing up for himself. He went down with a fight, against Vriska, and he could do it again.
Abilities/Strengths: A Jousting Lance, which he would call his lancekind is his choice of weapon.
He also has the ability to commune with creatures. To mentally get into its head and manipulate it to do his bidding. But manipulate is not the word that Tavros would use to describe it. He's rather against letting them get hurt, let alone using them for fighting. He'd rather commune with it to make them his friend/ally if he can.
Being manipulated by Vriska to control Terezi's lusus and being able to commune with Becquerel shows the extent of how potentially strong this ability is.
Weaknesses: It has been mentioned by Karkat that Tavros seems to be incapable of being truly hateful towards anyone. Even with all justified reasons to hate the person that complicated his life, he never did. He made efforts to avoid her, yes, but he was never once, vengeful or hostile.
He is also indecisive to the point where by the time he firmly settles on a decision or resolution, it tends to be too late. However, that is mostly stemmed from his low self-esteem. (And feels the need to weakly try to cover it up.) His hesitance holds him back from a lot of things.
ARCANARUM
Story: The Adventures of Peter and Wendy
Story Character: Peter Pan
Plans:The irony and coincidence is that his favorite fictional character is Pupa Pan (the troll-equivalent to Peter Pan.). It would be a good life-lesson of self-confidence for Tavros if he were to be the role of his hero.
He may not be as mischievous as Peter Pan, by any means, but he does have the similar naive and boyish aura. Being able to talk to fairies and fly, if he were to turn into Peter Pan? Sounds perfect, to him.
For the time being, he would adjust to fighting a dagger, since his lance is no more. Also maybe secretly try to get himself to the point where he can fly, someday. (and maybe offer to teach anyone who's interested, after he gets himself flying.)
He'll also try to reunite with any of his friends, of course! Even if some of his peers never cared for him much, he would be glad to see them again. Making new friends isn't out of the question for Tavros, as well!
