Mar 21, 2011 21:32

This blog has moved  Hi, a number of people have reported problems with my kindle devkeys 0.2 and the 3.1 firmware. I can't seem to replicate the problem here on two kindles (both K3GB - UK wifi+3G).

I don't know about other folks with this issue, but for me it was because I had to do a hard reset which deleted the jailbreak and devkey folders. Once I'd reinstalled my jailbreak and the devkeys then KIF began working again.

=/ Sorry.

Still having problems after doing all of this. The exact message is:
"The permissions to open the requested title have an invalid date. Please contact customer service."

If you need me to try anything feel free to message me.

Figured it out for me at least. Go online, make sure the current time is set, after I ran the jailbreak it set my time backwards. Once I had my time updated, it worked fine.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

First off, thanks for Kif, it makes the kindle much more than an ereader.

Kif was working until a crash, then I got an error that said no permission or incorrect date or something like that.

I tried applying the zapdevkeys and then reapplying your keys but it didn't work.

I recopied the kif files over and boom, it worked. Must be a date of copy thing.

Anyway, thanks again for making Kif.
