another issue with modern fashion for girls

Oh, absolutely. Perhaps one reason I'm less concerned about the short skirts trend is that here in Berlin, I see tons of women wearing short skirts but I can't remember any who do so with bare legs. Every one of them is wearing leggings or opaque tights. All of them! And it's sensible, because even aside from the public transit health issues (and I have definitely thought about those) it's so incredibly uncomfortable to have bare skin against most things one sits on in public (anything not upholstered, really).

ahh see out here on the east coast, if you're not showing the maximum amount of skin you're a shame to all girl-kind. i always do leggings cus i like that look and i dont want the bare skin on gross public things, myself :)

haha, WIN!!!

i love how some people are so wrapped up in fashion that the forget about the tiny issue of personal hygiene! we have some epically short skirts in japan, but they're usually paired with tights or leggings... and i assume that virtually all the girls here wear underwear... i haven't checked, but i'm gonna stick by my assumption!

as opposed to the thong loving preteens of America ;) a friend of mine, when in high school, apparently yelled in a crowded hallway "HEY YOU, IN THE THONG!" and like almost every single girl turned around. EWWW. useful for erasing panty lines for tight leggings you're not wearing a tunic over, or for super tight dresses, and useful for people who are on their feet all day to avoid chafing, but 12 year olds??? EWWWWW.

I'm glad to hear the Japanese have some sense! ^_^
