OKAY. So I am finally here, commenting, even though I have read this story like five times now. At least. Dang, I love me the Christmas!fic, but it's hard to write it and read it and comment on it and GAH. But in a good way, because I could not receive better presents than amazing fic:)

Um. I don't know where to start. There is too much to love. They're in a log cabin. He's watching her and thinking how he just wants her face to look like that forever, even though he knows it can't. WAUGH. He makes things out of wood. And chops wood. And does other manly things with wood. Oh, my brain. I think of his arms like in this icon.

“Tell me what you made today,” she sometimes said, wondering aloud. Some other times he’d sit there, a finger twined around a strand of her auburn hair, and ask her if she was warm enough.

That makes me smile like a mofo.

He thinks about how she might burn her fingers! They take a bath together. Geez, way to hit up all of my kinks at once. NAKEDNESS:) And she's ahem. Doing things with her feet. That he is ( ... )

Awww. It makes me so GLAD that stuff like this makes you smile. Because, you know! That's why I wrote it?

You're too cute. You know you don't need to comment on these? The whole point of the Christmasing fic thing is to GIVE and not receive.

Not that I don't like that you told me what you like the most.

I just want them to snuggle in bed together after sex and whisper to her and ask her if she's too cold because MY GOD, Jack would figure out a way to build a fire place in their room for her, if he had to.

Hahaha.

I'm such a cornball for them.

THANK you. Love you.

You know, I think this has single-handedly done more to get me in the Christmas mood than anything, and I'm sipping eggnog coffee while listening to Wintersong and staring at the snow outside. So that's saying something.

I agree that sometimes the telly is just what is needed. And still, there is room for the imagination. For instance, clearly Jack is wearing a red plaid flannel shirt through much of this, and the tops of his boots are uncharacteristically left undone at the top so his jeans are all rumpled and half tucked in. Plus, his hair is a little bit longer, curling ever so slightly where it meets the collar of his shirt, a fact which Renee notices when he's crouched by the fire, shifting the coffee pot around in quick jabs so he doesn't burn himself. Yup.

Happiness.

Oh, and this: She could multitask. Oh, Renee.

Sipping eggnog coffee while listening to Wintersong! And it's SNOWING there? Nice. It's pouring here. Maybe it will drop low enough tonight to turn?

That's SUCH a compliment if this makes you feel Christmasy.

CLEARLY Jack is wearing a plaid flannel! I mean, that right there is a given, and so are all those other things you said, except for the hair part, because I like it short. BWAH. But! Isn't that the beauty of fic sometimes? When you aren't exacting with some of the descriptions your readers can fill in their preferences. It makes me so happy that you fill in the details with the way you wish to see it. It makes me happy that you imagine it at ALL and that I could sorta outline a picture for you.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment. That icon ALWAYS cracks me up.
