I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. I went in expecting a fun, entertaining, ridiculous flick- with another great performance by James McAvoy -and that's exactly what I got. It doesn't hold back in its heightened reality setting, and it's got some really funny moments with a few surprises packed in. And James...he just plays the part of Wesley ( Read more... )

hmm we have Wanted at my theatre right now, and I wasn't really interested in seeing it, but everyone keeps recommending it and saying how fantastic it is so I might hafta change my mind.

As someone who's not ever seen a James McAvoy movie though, would you suggest this one to be the first?

Well, for me, who has seen his last 6 or 7 films, it was definitely a new side of his acting abilities. He's not your typical action film star, but he makes the role his own and becomes that character, just like he does in all of his movies. I think his roles in other films show just how good he can be (Atonement, The Last King of Scotland), but this one is made better just because he's playing it. I may be a bit biased because I'm already a fan :) but I do think that if you see this one you'll be interested in seeing other things he's been in.

Heck, I became a fan of his after seeing him as a faun in Narnia, so that may be a testament to his talents right there, ha.

OMG!!! I KNEW HE WAS FAMILIAR LOLOLOL! oh wow. hahahahaha that's awesome.

And okie! Good things to bear in mind; which film of his would you recommend the most, d'you think?

I think he gives his best performance to date in Atonement. He's simply heartbreaking in that one. It's a beautiful movie as well.

Ooooohhhh I wanna watch this so badly! But I've been checking the release dates until August, and Wanted's not there... I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

Ah, I hope it comes out where you are soon! It was so much fun and James was just GUH. Perfection, as always :)
