I don't think we see exactly who killed Wallace, we just know it was one of the soldiers.

I know...that whole scene is just heartbreaking. Lee Pace was just at the top of his game in his final scenes as Roy. And Catinca was just such a great discovery for the role of Alexandria.

It's such a beautiful movie! I never get tired of it.

On a more shallow note, look at the way Lee's standing in the tower in your first cap of that scene. Is he trying to kill us with all the hotness? ;)
