Ooh, I was wondering what you were up to! Gz on the job :D
Fridge - there's Cambridge re-sale on Mill Road that might have some of these, although I'm nto sure what their prices are like vs. just getting one reduced in sales. The chairty shops are good for crockery etc, although it is worth just checking how much basic plates n'whatnot are in tescos/etc before you go, 'cos charity shop prices can be rather weird sometimes.
I know friends who have got really good deals on furniture from Emmaus - http://www.emmaus.org.uk/regions/view/east-england; and there is also Sally Ann's charty shop (again, Mill Road!) that often has good furniture in it.

If you want to pick up a whole bunch of cheap crockery and cutlery, the Salvation Army shop on Mill Road is a good bet.
General house-related outgoings that might pertain to you but you've not mentioned:
- Council tax
- Telephone
- Internet
- Contents insurance - especially if you're renting on the Oxmoor
- Notifying change of address to bank, student loans, any postal subscriptions, etc.
Oh, and congratulations on the job; am I allowed to ask who it's with? (-8Reply
